What is a doula?

The original meaning for doula is “with woman.” Doulas are trained professionals who assist women through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Not only do doulas assist the birthing mother, they also assist the birthers partner.

Doulas do not provide medical assistance. However, we can offer pain management techniques, optimal labor positions, we help provide information for decision making, and teach partners how to assist the mother.

Most importantly we give the power to the mothers to make the decisions they want for their birth and their baby.

My job is to give you unbiased information to help you decide what is best for you and your baby when it comes to labor. I want you to feel excited and joyful when you go into labor, not scared. I can help you answer questions you may have regarding pregnancy and birth, but my most important job is to remind you that you are the key. You make the final decision on everything. This is your show, momma!

  • One on One Coaching

    Are you pregnant and do you have a few questions you need answered, but don’t necessarily need the whole shebang? In coaching calls we can go over anything and everything birth related that you may be concerned about. Let’s cut through the crap and find some answers.

    30 minute call for $50.

    60 minute call for $100.

  • Prenatal Education and Planning

    In our one-on-one sessions we will discuss what labor and birth could look like. We’ll chat about your beliefs around birth, the stages of labor, the interventions you may or may not want, and immediate postpartum care for mom and baby. We’ll also go over ways your partner can support you while in labor!

    This package includes four 1-hour zoom calls for $425.

  • Postpartum Planning

    Does the fourth trimester seem like a daunting time to you? Creating a postpartum plan can be an essential step in preparing for birth. Don’t let this slip through the cracks, make sure you are well prepared!

    This package includes three 1-hour zoom calls for $125.

    Postpartum planning can be included in the birth education package as well, for a discounted price.

    If you’re like me, the thought of birth can seem grim… Who is going to be in the room? Will anyone respect my wishes and my body? Will I become retraumatized all over again?

    If you have any of these concerns, let me help you by discussing ways to protect yourself in the birth room. This is the same as the prenatal/education package, except we dive deep into fears and healing through birth.
